J.R. Ellena Enterprises was established in 1990 with the help of Jill's father, James R. Ellena in Lawrence, KS.  He was a very successful businessman, with many car dealerships and rental properties of his own.  Being that Lawrence was a college town and home of Kansas University, rental properties were very needed.    Therefore investing in this particular business was very desirable.  In  April of 2017 the business grew, expanding into more areas of the Midwest, later focusing in St. Joseph, MO.  It was seen as a small town, rapidly growing with much potential.  The plan was and still is, to help the community grow through the 'ripple effect'.
